How Ranking Points Work

Learn how

Rankings are generated from confirmed results after they are processed. Player and team rankings are tracked separately. v1.15 uses match contributions, event placement awards, and capped social points.

(tier_base + skill_pair + upset_bonus) * time_decay * visibility + game_difference

Match wins earn points

Friendly wins use only the match format base. Tournament wins add tier base, skill-pair points, and any upset bonus. Game difference is added flat after multipliers.

Recent wins count more

Matches decay over time: 100% in the first 3 months, dropping to 90% in 3–6 months, down to 50% after 9 months.

Only your best matches count

Your ranking is built from your top 40 match contributions from the last 12 months, plus finalized event placement awards and social points capped at 12% of match + placement subtotal.

150 pts tier base   (Gold tournament)
